半胱胺酸蛋白酶4/11抗體產(chǎn)品介紹：background: Caspase 11 (also known as ICH3) gene encodes two protein products of 38 and 43 kDa that belong to the Ced3/ICE family of cysteine proteases. Caspase 11 is an “upstream” caspase with a long prodomain. It undergoes a cleavage upon activation, leading to p20 and p10 subunits. Monoclonal antibodies reacting specifically with caspase 11 are useful tools for the study of the protease network, involved in development and regulation, governing the life and death of cells and tissues. Function: Involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Promotes IL-1 beta processing by ICE, so may also have a role in inflammatory responses. Subunit: Heterotetramer that consists of two anti-parallel arranged heterodimers, each one formed by a 20 kDa (p20)半胱胺酸蛋白酶4/11抗體 and a 10 kDa (p10) subunit. Tissue Specificity: Mostly expressed in lung and spleen; weaker in heart and lung; little in liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and testis. Not found in the brain. Post-translational modifications: The two subunits are derived from the precursor sequence by a autocatalytic mechanism. Similarity: Belongs to the peptidase C14A family. Contains 1 CARD domain.
